I am responsible for the fiscal and administrative areas of the organization. Prior to joining the team at its inception, I have served for more than 25 years in a broad range of day to day office operations as well as provided recommendations for organization goals, accounting processes, policies and procedures, budgets, statistical reports, and process improvements in two different type business settings.
I enjoy my husband, Duane, of 22 years and our two daughters, Autumn 16 years old and Megan 14 years old. After high school I was an exchange student to the countries of Australia and New Zealand. I have attended Fox Valley Technical College for Accounting and University of Phoenix for Psychology. As my daughters grew, I have served in leadership roles in community organizations including, but not limited to, three years as PTO President and eleven years as a sunday school teacher. In my spare time I enjoy the outdoors, camping, biking, hiking, and I love to read.
I have been a teacher in the Appleton area school district over the past 22 years and am presently teaching at Appleton West in the Technology Education department. My teaching background varies as I have taught everything from computer repair, multimedia, web page development and welding/manufacturing. I served in the Coast Guard after graduating high school and was involved in search and rescue in Ketchikan, Alaska. I was disabled while serving and was given the opportunity by the VA to attend college at UW Stout where I received my B.S. in Technology education. Later I attended UW Oshkosh and received my M.S. in Educational Technology. I enjoy the outdoors and shooting sports such as trap and am a director at the Outagamie Conservation Club. I am excited about the opportunity to be involved with Get Connected Counseling not only as a part owner but someone who has benefited from the type of cutting edge therapy being offered at the clinic.
